Miriam Pena is giving the keynote 'Unsung heroes of the beam' at Code Beam in San Francisco

During her keynote she will celebrate the women who were crucial to give shape to the Erlang & Elixir community by explaining some histories only known in small circles.

Miriam has 10 years of experience in scalable, high performance, high concurrency, and high availability systems written in Erlang. She is a Staff Engineer at AdRoll at San Francisco where she has spent 4 years designing critical parts of their Real-Time Bidding infrastructure. Prior to AdRoll, she provided Erlang specialized consultancy through Erlang Solutions and Nomasystems in Sweden, Spain, Egypt and the US; for projects ranging from automobile to social networks and telecommunications. She earned her M.S. in Computer Science from La Coruña University in Spain. She was voted one of the women to watch in 2018 by Women 2.0
